Story (from catster listed on 28th December 2005)
“Meenu is now warded at Companion Animal Clinic where she will be operated tomorrow to mend a fracture of the right hip. There was internal bleeding from the fracture site and the sharp ends of the bones were piercing into her flesh as she walked. What amazes me was Meenu never reacted with even a slight hiss whenever she was carried! According to Phyllis, she said Meenu would be operated by Dr “Mouse” (as per Phyllis’ pronounciation). We will never knew how she suffered such severe trauma but I will make sure she is safe from now on. Here are some photos of Meenu when she was still very young. I saw her one morning meowing and walking amidst the tables in the coffeeshop, competing with Blackie for food. She was probably just dumped there. She has a strong will to survive and despite being of the smallest built, she soon assumed a dominant role, even eventually forcing the fierce grey male to submit! I tried to get her to assimilate with Malu at my workplace just before she was sterilized but she went on hunger strike for about 3 days that Prakash had to release her back at the coffeeshop vicinity. She went into hiding but reappeared, her usual self, a few days later. Hopefully this time after she recuperates from the surgery, she will adapt to a safer environment.”
